Just wanted to give everyone the update on Morgan's 9-month checkups. Earlier this month, Morgan visited both her pediatrician in Woodbury and her Dwarfism specialist in Madison, Dr. Pauli. Both checkups went very well and she is a very healthy little girl.
For her regular 9-month checkup, she had to get a flu shot, which is never very much fun...for both the baby and the parent. But, Morgan was very brave and only cried a little bit.
We drove down to Madison to visit Dr. Pauli for the second time. After the exam, Dr. Pauli said that she was "Gorgeous" and she was doing very well. Her back, which has Kyphosis, wasn't any better, but it wasn't any worse either. Dr Pauli still thinks that it will go away when she's around 18 months. The only other minor problem is her nasal passages, which is typical with Dwarfism. Dwarfs have very narrow nasal passages, which makes breathing and filtering the air coming more difficult. If saline drops don't help, we may have to give her some nasal steroids.
Other than those two very minor problems, she is totally healthy and is doing very well. She continues to be a very happy little girl, although she's been a little cranky with some teeth coming in...but, you can't blame her for that!
