Well, I haven't added a new entry for this segment in a long time, but it's not for the lack of material.
This one comes when Holly was away to visit her sister in November and I had the kids for 4 days. My time didn't start off too well when Ella got a 24-hour, flu-like sickness on Friday night and threw up every hour throughout the night. I literally got 1 hour of sleep that night. But, it was all down hill from there. ;)
But, I digress.
That weekend, we were going to have our first snowstorm and I realized that our grill had been knocked over during an earlier windstorm and I needed to get it back up and ready for the long, cold winter. The grill is pretty big and it was cold outside, so I was grimacing from both the cold and the amount of muscle it (based on my lack of muscle) needed to get it back upright.
After winning the fight against the grill, Ella opened the door since she had been watching me...and she said, "Dad, I like your smile." Well, my grimace changed to an actual smile and that one statement helped me survive the rest of the weekend. Kids.
