Well, Ella did it again...
Ella and I were playing pirates in the living room. We have a very cool plastic pirate ship with 4 crewman (Captain Redbeard, Ella, Morgan, and Daddy). Daddy's pirate figure looks like the lowest ranking person on the ship...the one that cleans the poop deck. So, it's a lot like real life...but, I digress.
Anyway, I told Ella that we were going to sail to the Black Cliffs, which are really two black end tables pushed together that currently hold her new doll house she got for xmas. So, Ella picks up all the plastic figures off the ship and starts walking to the tables. I immediately said, "Hey wait a minute, we have to use the ship to get over there because all of this is water," as I pointed to the floor.
Ella stopped, looked at me like I was crazy and pointed to the floor as she said, "Daddy, this is carpet."
So much for stretching a child's imagination. ;)
