Happy Mother's Day

Wow, I can't believe it's been over a month since our last post. That's what happens when your life gets back to normal. ;)

First of all, I want to give a 'shout out' to all those moms our there. Now that I've been a parent for a couple of years, I realize more than ever how much you do. Holly was gone on Saturday for a 12-hour scrapbooking get away and the day was brutal...and my sister and her two kids came over to help! It's amazing what Holly does every week. In my defense, I think Morgan didn't feel well all day, so it was one of those "I'm not going to be happy no matter what you do" days.

The good news is that Ella and Morgan are doing well. The bad news is that Mom and Dad are still exhausted. Morgan is gaining weight, smiling, and making noises. Ella is growing like a weed and is starting to say a lot. Ella knows her colors, can count to 5 (and then skips to 8), and is starting to sing along to songs. She amazes us every day.

Morgan is over 9 lbs now and is starting to sleep through the night. We took a little trip down to Madison, WI, last week to visit the Dwarfism specialist, Dr. Pauli. Morgan was very good during during the examination and he said that she was doing very well. We did learn a lot more from him and we will continue to see him during Morgan's early years. We are very lucky to have him so close.

Well, I finally have some free time right now so I'm going to sign off. We'll try to update this blog at least once a week.

I'll leave you with a new portrait of the girls we had taken a few weeks ago. I don't know about you, but I think these two are going to be trouble. ;)

Hi Paul, Holly and kids! Was wondering how you were all doing, since I get most updates from your blog now! My alumni mag from Colorado State featured Erin Popovich, who also has achondroplasia! Pretty amazing what she has done: about Erin. I think Morgan will do amazing things too. Hope to see you all soon.
