The West Wing

Nope. George W didn't invite us to Washington...we wouldn't accept even if he did. But, we did move into the Fairview Hospital's West Wing, which is an area in the NICU where you get to stay in a hotel-like room and care for your baby with nurses near by.

Getting moved to the West Wing is the final stage of your babies stay in the NICU. Morgan has had some sleep apnea problems so far, but our main concern is just getting her used to eating so we can get the feeding tube removed and go home.

The every three-hour feedings are tiring, but Holly and I are hanging in there. Holly's Dad and Stepmom (Glen and Pat) have been with us since Valentine's Day and Pat has been taking care of Ella all week. She has been an incredible help. Unfortunately, Glen got sick with Bronchitis since he's been here, so he's recovering from that.

Glen is also trying to recover from the weather that we've been having. Since he flew in from Florida, the temperature here in Minnesota has sunk to -30 below zero. Heck, -30 below zero is shocking for me, and I live here!

Holly is home right now visiting Ella and Morgan is sleeping soundly next to me. Hopefully, we'll all be coming home soon.
